A great way to save money on your wedding day is by having a backyard wedding. With new DIY ideas readily available on things like pinterest. If you want to do a back yard wedding consider these questions before you do it.
1. Is the yard big enough for all of your guests? -- consider downsizing the guest list if necessary. 2.What are the costs involved?-- Compare and contrast what it will cost you to supply all or the seating, decorations and food in comparison to a vender before you go ahead with your decision 3.What is the city and neighborhood going to say? Different neighborhoods have sound ordinances or occupancy limits and neighborhood associations can be very strict about what type of functions can and can’t go occur. You might run into difficult neighbors, or even if they’re friendly – you’ll want to let them know that there will be a wedding on that date so that they don’t schedule their pool to be dug during your ceremony! There might be other fees you’ll have to pay the city, or vendors to come to your literal backyard. 4.What do you need to rent, buy, or borrow? Considering you may need chairs, tents, tables, food, flower arrangements, etc. 5.Where will everyone Park? Do you have enough room for all of the cars? You might have to have a valet to run cars down the street or to another lot. 6. Do you have enough restrooms? you want to have enough restrooms and this is easily solved by renting several portable restrooms . No worries – porta-potties have come a long way and you can order them at varying levels of fancy. From your basic construction site model all the way to a fully electronic model with robots!! 7. Who will clean up after the event? A great idea would to have family and close friends hep you out and tear down the event for you. No bride and groom want to clean up right after their wedding. Family usually wants to help out so see if they would be willing to tear down afterwards. 8. Where will the photo session take place? Do you have a nice area to take photos-- is it aesthetically pleasing?You don’t have to have this in your backyard but a place near by that you could easily travel to-- within reason.

So you are engaged? Now you want to get in shape and get healthy! For some of you growing out your hair for your wedding day is a must. If you are looking to grow your hair out for you wedding day, I have some tips and tricks for you to do. For most of you it might be hard to do but-- save the heat for the wedding day! Don’t use any heat on your hair!!! -- hair dryers, curling irons, straighteners, etc. Your hair will look healthy and break less-- Every time you apply heat to your hair, you evaporate tiles on your hair that crack and break off which causes you to lose body. If you have unmanageable hair (like most people) you can try different types of braids instead of curling and straightening. You can braid it when it is wet and wear a cute braid for one day and the next day take it out and wear your hair in waves. Try different types of braids and get in the habit or not having to heat your hair in order to go out and look good. If you can do that then you are one step closer to healthy long hair! Another thing that I recommend is getting a lot of Biotin in your diet. Biotin is a vitamin of the B complex, found in egg yolk, liver, and yeast. It is involved in the synthesis of fatty acids and glucose. You can buy Biotin vitamin supplements at the store and take them with caution. I recommend eating avocados and eggs on a regular to get the healthy hair you desire on your wedding day. Heck, even if you're not getting married-- who doesn't love beautiful and healthy hair!

I am big on having a theme for your wedding. Whether it is a small theme like “Backyard country” or as big as “Halloween costume wedding” I think that themes are a great way to go about planning your wedding. Start with a theme and work off of that. One of my favorite Venues is The James J. Hill Center in Saint Paul. It has amazing tall book shelves that remind me of the Disney movie “The Beauty and The Beast”. You could have a Disney themed wedding like Beauty and the Beast with the tall book shelves and stunning architecture. The James J. Hill Center has awed and inspired visitors with its historical intrigue and stunning architecture since it opened to the public in 1921. Constructed of Tennessee marble and Minnesota sandstone, it is both a living monument to the Empire Builder, James J. Hill, and a Saint Paul landmark, situated on picturesque Rice Park in the heart of downtown.
You should feel your prettiest on your wedding day. For some of you, that means showing off your gorgeous legs! Whether you want to be conservative just-above-the-knee or a micro-mini, a short dress is a fun way to shake things up on your big day. It’s also perfect to wear for more casual weddings, or for a quick trip to the courthouse (just because you are going low-key, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it in a great dress). And if you are a retro gal, your dream wedding might just involve a short lace-crocheted dress, a bouquet brimming with daisies, and a blusher veil. Don't go for the normal standards, hike up your dress and feel sexy. 
Mothers Day is around the corner. For mothers day I would like to make this post dedicated to the most amazing mother I know, (besides my own) Jessica Meredith. Jessica is my best friend since high school and mother of three beautiful boys-- Talan, Landen, and Easton. She juggles so much with being a full time mother and having a job in nursing. Her and her husband have a beautiful family that I have watched grow over the years and will continue to grow. If there was a super woman is would be Jessica. I got the chance to babysit these lovely boys the other day and I decided to try and get some photos taken of them for her mothers day gift. I asked the boys if they knew what mothers day was and Talan replied, “It’s the day that we give mom gifts!” Talan and Landen agreed to try really hard to smile and sit for a photo for mom. I had no idea what I was getting into. Trying to have a 6 month old, 4 year old, and 5 year old sit still and take the photo was more difficult than I imagined. We all tried our best to get the perfect photo but their short excitable attention span lasted about 5 minutes. Jess- they did their very best and it was all for you. This is what they got for you.
